MY STORY
My name is Tonna. I am an educator, married, have a grown son and daughter, two wonderful grandsons and, I love to sew! I have been sewing, designing, and creating for years. From a very young age I was always full of creative ideas or "notions to create." I have created all types of garments, wedding gowns, costumes, window treatments, pillows, dolls, etc. Over the years, I made a few quilts for new babies, our children's beds, as well as ours, but I didn't get serious about quilting until about nine years ago. I quickly understood why quilters become passionate about creating quilts. The options for creativity and new learning are endless. Each quilt's story changes with design decisions, fabric choices and colors, and the process all comes together with the quilting design used to finish the quilt story. My journey from sewist to quilter has challenged me to learn and grow many new skills, including longarm quilting. I love the longarm quilting process - creative options and stunning results! Quilting for others allows me to work with so many more quilts. I really enjoy the collaboration that occurs when I work with another quilter on a quilt.
